MyPillow or Casper? How They Stack Up

Think of this as a five-round match, and your bedroom is the judge. Price, materials, cooling, returns and snoring evidence each get a round, and every round names a winner.

We checked the sellers’ own pages in October 2026, so the numbers below are a snapshot you can verify before you spend a dime.

Round 1: Price

MyPillow wins on cost. Amazon listings showed a Classic standard single at about $29.98 and a Classic queen pair at about $54.98.

The Casper Original Cooling Pillow lists the standard at $99 and the king at $149, and the standard carried a sale price of $89.10 when we checked. Both prices move, so confirm at checkout.

Round 2: Materials and Build

Casper wins on documented detail. Its page names a cover woven from equal parts cotton and TENCEL, recycled down-alternative fiber, a 2-inch gusset and standard dimensions of 26 by 18 inches.

The Amazon listing for the MyPillow Classic queen names a 100% cotton cover and an adjustable loft, and it shows 28 by 18.5 inches. We found no independent lab test of either fill, so treat the comfort claims as the makers’ words.

Round 3: Staying Cool

Casper takes this round by default. Its cover has a cooling coating on the underside, while the MyPillow listing we read makes no cooling claim.

The Sleep Foundation’s Casper pillow review is based on an older version of the pillow, so lean on Casper’s current page for the cooling details.

Round 4: Returns and Warranty

Casper wins again on clarity. Its page offers a refund for 30 days after delivery plus a one-year limited warranty, provided the pillow is unused and boxed as shipped.

The MyPillow Classic on Amazon carries two years of manufacturer coverage. Return terms depend on the seller, so read them before you order.

Round 5: Snoring Evidence

This round is a draw, and it is a low-scoring one. We found no trial that tested either pillow on snoring.

What does have data is a pillow that changes head position. A trial of a head-positioning pillow on 25 adults with positional apnea saw the median snoring index drop by about half, from 218 to 115 an hour, in three nights.

A 2024 systematic review rates positional therapy and head-of-bed elevation as dependable choices, yet cautions that the studies are few and brief. For smart versions, see our Smart Nora review and Nitetronic Goodnite review.

A Word on the Company Behind MyPillow

MyPillow settled a California false-advertising case in November 2016 for close to a million dollars ($995,000) in penalties. Consumer Reports reports the company admitted no wrongdoing.

The company also had to drop its “official pillow” label for the National Sleep Foundation, since the payment arrangement had gone undisclosed.

The Final Tally

  • Budget buyer: MyPillow takes rounds 1 and, if you value the adjustable loft, 2.
  • Hot sleeper who likes an easy return: Casper takes rounds 3 and 4.
  • Serious snorer: neither wins round 5, so start with our best anti-snoring pillows.

If the snoring comes with choking or daytime exhaustion, read our list of early signs of sleep apnea and book a checkup.

Frequently Asked Questions

MyPillow’s Classic lists 24 months of manufacturer coverage on Amazon, and Casper’s own page lists a limited warranty of one year.

According to Consumer Reports, it covered claims California prosecutors said could mislead buyers, and it produced $995,000 in penalties along with $100,000 for shelters.

We found no trial showing that either one does. Sleep apnea needs a medical diagnosis, so talk to your doctor.
